9449...

The WEA (Washington Educator's Association) used to, and maybe still does, have an ad called "What's your number?" that featured a teacher with a number such as the number of students in class, the hours spent grading, or the amount still owed on student loans. Anyway- tonight my number is 9449, which is the number of words in my thesis rough draft. After spending the last month researching and writing, I have a finished rough draft! The bad news is that it's very, very, very rough, which means that I'll be spending the next month reading and polishing. Wish me luck- it's going to be a long one :)
